I was hoping to try a thai style crawfish before the end of the season and was told this is the spot to do it. Captain T's is a BYOB seafood spot with variety- razor clams, surf clams, mussels, oysters, crawfish, conch. I tried the garlic butter clams, special T's crawfish and grilled oysters. The grilled oysters were my favorite with crush peanuts and fresh lime. The clams were a little sandy tasting, but the garlic butter sauce was pretty good. The crawfish were small, but flavorful. You can grab your own non alcoholic drink off the wall. Don't be afraid to ask for things like gloves, silverware and your check. You pay up front.
I don't think this will be my go to seafood spot, but the prices were good and the seafood was decent. -

I immediately jumped off my couch when I saw their promotional for 0.75 cents raw oysters and 0.96 cents grilled oysters. Everything was juicy and delicious, you can't beat that price anywhere.
The crawfish however were a bit on the smaller size and the Captain T Mix definitely gave me indigestion the entire night. I do like Garlic Butter and Thai Basil Mix, and that is my usual flavor everywhere I go. But that onion and citrus twist gave it a funky smell, I couldn't get past that.
I'd come back for the shell fish, the grilled oysters are definitely worth it. -

Oh Capt T Seafood wow you so good! Sketchy area but my friend swore it's the best place and she is right. Wow. Haven't had this yummy tasty and spicy seafood in a while. I love crawfish but lazy to peel but the sauce their Capt T sauce is so good you can suck and eat the sauce with rice and be happy. Oh their fried rice wow. One of the best shrimp fried rice I've had. Their gumbo was on point too. Their shrimp was amazing as well. It's the sauce. Oh so good. We tried their Thai basil sauce too. Pretty good too. Slurp! It's messy so they give you a bib and gloves to eat everything. You will need it. Pretty good deal for the amount you get. Would love to come back. You can pick up your drinks from a back cooler. Enjoy. Will need a lot of icy cold drinks or water. So good here. Will be back next time we hit Houston!

Environment... use to be a supermarket so the layout is a little odd, decent for large parties
Service is decent. Nothing special. Place is byob so they don't come around refilling drinks or anything. They don't give free cups of water or anything.
Pricing... a bit expensive. They charge extra for their special captain sauce... which is a tad too sweet for my taste. -

New and updated review! Hands down probably now my new favorite crawfish joint! I get the Captain T's special spicy and it tastes amazing! Love the citrus and garlic butter mixture. I would suggest trying medium first if spicy is too hot for you. The garlic butter spicy is way too spicy hence my swollen lips pic.
The only downfall is that their corn, potatoes and sausage does not come lathered in their sauce. They should toss the sides in the sauce before they give them to us. Service has definitely gotten so much better and the servers are attentive.
Drinks are still self served and BYOB! Enjoy!
